Women get twice the benefits of men

A new study indicates some good news for women. According to researchers studying rates of all-cause mortality (death from any cause), men have to invest twice the time as women to get similar life-extension benefits.

The sweet spot for men, when it comes to cardio exercise, turned out to be 300 minutes/week, while the sweet spot for women was 140 minutes/week.

As for strength training, men need 3X/week, while women need only 1X/week to see the same changes in survival benefits.

This, of course, was using the most popular forms of exercise, which are still traditional steady-state cardio and conventional strength training, which tend to be very time-consuming.

Luckily, there are other methods out there, such as high-intensity training (HIT) and high-intensity interval training (HIIT), as well as techniques like TUT and CMF that give the same benefits in a fraction of the time.
