Step Three

Now that you have Xperienced some workouts, you’re starting to “get it” by now. You may still feel “awkward” and even “lost” at times, but remember, this is by design! In fact, it’s when you feel the most awkward – or even frustrated – that the most nerve changes, new connections, and neural brain benefits are happening.

Xfactor Xplanation: Time Under Tension (TUT) and Complete Muscle Fatigue (CMF).

Your endurance results will come from TUT and your strength and toning results will come from CMF. Hanging in there, with constant tension and avoiding any and all rests (even 1/4 second) will be your key to all of these results. For a more detailed Xplanation, just click the video below:

Listen to the cues you hear in the app videos, or from your online trainer, or your Eastside club trainer to hang in there and do the best you can, for as long as you can. You will get better at this with time, so don’t Xpect to be perfect. Progress should be your goal – not perfection.

Each person is different and the X Gym workouts are designed to meet you where you are and to adjust with you as you get progress, both mentally and physically, which is why all different fitness levels and kinds of people succeed with the X Gym system.

Form is paramount at X Gym, for safety as well as effectiveness, so you can maximize your endurance results through TUT and CMF. You will be continually coached on this and will get better at this too, with time.

Please understand that you are not Xpected to “get” all these new and revolutionary concepts right away. It takes time, so as we cut you slack and allow time for you to get these concepts down, be sure to cut yourself slack too! Remember that every time you feel frustrated mentally or physically, those are the prime moments when you are creating the most change in your body and your brain!

Nutrition Revolution Step: Start Phasing Out Artificial Ingredients and GMO Foods.

Artificial ingredients and GMO foods are toxic and addictive, which will sabotage your health goals. A quick glance at your food label will show you if it has artificial ingredients. If you can’t pronounce it, or you don’t recognize a word as a food, it’s probably an artificial ingredient.

As for GMO foods, the best way to avoid them is to buy organic – or foods that specifically claim on the label to be GMO free. Check out the graphic below for 7 questions that will help you know if a food is healthy.

Brain Training Revolution:

If you are having trouble with this particular step, then try the technique in the video below because certain foods – especially artificial ingredients – are incredibly addictive and will create Xtremely intense cravings (which is actually why food manufacturers put them in there).

If the video above didn’t work, just email PJ@xgym.com for more customized ideas, based on your individual challenges and goals.
