Will You Take a Stand With Me Against Slavery and Disease?

slaverycanecuttersI have written more often on sugar than any other subject, and how in its many forms is the main cause of type 2 diabetes, brain damage, immune suppression (making us susceptible to many illnesses ranging from the common cold to swine flu), and that is is the main food of choice for cancer cells. These are only a small fraction of the health problems associated with sugar intake. To list them all would create a post that would be so long, most people wouldn’t even bother to read it.

The biggest concern for most people is their weight. For the first time in the history of our planet, we now have more fat people than hungry people. Another first for humans is our childhood obesity epidemic, and the associated heart disease and diabetes among these kids. I bet you can guess what the culprit is.

Sugar has been scientifically proven to be more addictive than cocaine. The sugar cartels know this, and even bank on it – in a big way. They know that sugar is killing you and making you fat. They also know it was the biggest driver of slavery in the world. Did you know that it still is? I bet you didn’t, and if you eat sugar, you are supporting these sugar cartels and their slavery practices, as well as putting your stamp of approval on slavery of the past.

Am I being too sensational? Am I over-reacting? I am the first to admit that I get over-focused at times, but you can judge for yourself if I am off my rocker or not by watching the videos below.

Sugar comes from evil roots, and it is still evil today, both as a food, and as an institution. The money behind it is obscene, the resulting corruption is atrocious, and the effect it has on our health, mind and body is simply horrific. In fact, most people are slaves to sugar simply because they are addicts. Sugar owns their body and mind, and it calls all the shots. Are you a physiological and psychological slave to sugar? Most Americans are.

What I am asking of you here is to join my sugar boycott. If you are selfish, just join it for personal reasons like losing fat, getting healthier, becoming smarter, having more energy (without the slumps and crashes), fighting off illness (including the swine flu), avoiding disease, being more resistant to cancer, and reducing your own chance getting type 2 diabetes (or possibly curing it if you have it already).

If you care about others, then join this boycott because you want to take a stand against corruption, epidemic disease, obesity, and yes, the inhumane concept and practice of human slavery – past and present. Personally, I care about both, so I’ve got lots of reasons.

By boycotting sugar (in all its forms – see list below the video links), you will find it extremely difficult to become fat, and virtually impossible to become obese. Type 2 diabetes will be pushed away, and your brain will thrive once again. Your kids will live longer, healthier, happier and thinner lives too, and will likely pass this legacy down to their kids.

It can be tough though, so be ready to commit! As mentioned, sugar is one of the most addictive toxins on the planet, so it will take a continued and renewed resolve each and every day. Reminding yourself of the corruption and slavery behind it will be one way to re-frame the choice to consume it.  Just remember that every time you give in, you are supporting the evils behind it and the health detriments to your own body. Over time, you will become so disgusted, and will link so much pain to it, you will find sugar just as repulsive as I do.

I want to close with an admission of where I came from. I used to be a hopeless sugar addict. My college roommates still tease me to this day about my past sugar addiction. I would go through an entire Costco-sized tub of candy orange slices (you know, the ones with o% real fruit) in one day. I was also seen on more than one occasion to eat jelly for dinner. That’s right, straight jelly, with a spoon, right out of the jar, without even putting it on bread! If I can kick the sugar habit, anyone can!

Sugar cane cartels are the biggest offenders of present day slavery and are the main offenders of past slavery, but other forms of sugar are just as addictive and detrimental to your health. All sugar will make you fat, but sucrose (table sugar) and high fructose corn syrup are the worst, because they both contain fructose, which is converted into fat easier than any other sugar.

For a list of sugars in all their disguises, see below and then read your food labels to join this boycott successfully, and to make sure you are truly and completely omitting this poison from your life!

P.S. Breaking the sugar habit is one thing, but to break it permanently, you need to replace it with another habit that is healthy. One way to do this is to pick your favorite healthy foods and focus on these every day.
