How We Mix Cardio and Strength Training

The X Gym 21-minute workout looks and feels mostly like strength training, but because of our time under tension (TUT) methodology, combined with our complete muscle fatigue (CMF) principle, it causes the heart rate to rise and fall much like interval, training, so at the end of the workout, if you were to draw a graph of your heart rate on a piece of paper, it would look just like interval training. And as far as the heart and lungs are concerned, it’s the same, so our workout, gives you relative muscular endurance, strength, and cardio all in the same routine.

Thanks to our unique methodology, this routine also takes only 21 minutes because of this combination of principles. If you were to do traditional training, you would need to do a strength workout, a separate endurance workout, and a separate cardio workout, totaling about 3 hours of time required.
